Welcome to the website of the Permanent Mission of Finland to the OSCE. We hope the website will provide you with a good overview of the Finnish objectives within the OSCE, an organisation which originated in Finland in the 1970's. On each page you shall also find useful links to related websites. We are interested in your feedback in order to further develop these pages. To better understand the work of the OSCE in Vienna you may also want to attend the meetings of the Permanent Council, which are open to the public.
The main role of the Permanent Mission is to ensure that issues of importance to Finland will be addressed in the work of the OSCE. Altogether 12 officials and other employees work in the Permanent Mission and in the Ambassador's residence.
